stenciling

stencil art uses cut stencils then, paint or spray the image cut from the stencil. it can be single layer paint/spray or multiple layers for experienced artist. stenciling can be done on wall, fabric, paper & etc. i find that stenciling can be fun! but, need loads of patience. well, every art work would requires lots of patience, rite? hehe!

for beginner, we were given plain boxes, some color paints, motifs, and sponge for painting. i didn't complete mine as i was particularly slow artist.

the end product looks like this one designed by one of my classmate. be creative and your product would turn out interesting.

if you would like to try, simply google for free stencils. most of the websites provide step-by-step instructions. happy trying!

from readers

i got a message from a fan asking if i could sell my pyssla set. apparently, ikea is running out of stock. Anyway,
1. happy that someone out there actually look at my blog. it motivates me to keep this space alive.
2. didn't sell my pyssla set as it is used and i would still want to keep it for future use

love you all!

pyssla craft

i spent the weekend at home watching movies and doing pyssla. pyssla beads can be found in ikea. it comes with peg boards in different sizes and shapes, parchment papers and of course a jar of colorful beads!

first, arrange the beads on peg board. be creative with the designs & colors.

done with the arrangement!

preheat iron to medium setting, place a piece of parchment paper over the finished design, and begin ironing in circular motion for about 10 seconds until you see the beads melting together.

now, flip the design over onto the ironing surface to fuse the other side. repeat the ironing process as before. let it cool down a little before removing the parchment paper.

tadaaa! here's a cuppie cake for my cupcake queen friend - Nadia.

here's more of my humble designs for this week :D

scrapbooking

this would be my first scrapbook project. i like the idea of scrapbook as its an interesting way of memory keeping. this round my colleagues and me, we are making a scrapbook for our ex-boss.

i visited some craft shops and noticed that scrapbook materials can cost a bomb! so here, i'm trying to use mostly recyclable materials. the l'occitane brochure (being the core material) has really pretty prints and most importantly... it's free!

some photos and i'm done!

has some very creative scrapbook ideas...
